SOPSAR supports Madeira

The Portuguese Society of Environmental Simulation and Risk Assessment, in partnership with the Centro de Negócios / Centro de Incubação de Empresas Ideia Atlântico of Braga, is organizing a campaign to collect goods to help the victims of the storm that recently hit Madeira. With this purpose it is proposed the collection of essential goods which are scarce in the archipelago, including:

• Bed clothes (sheets and blankets);
• Pillows;
• Towels;
• Diapers;
• Kitchenware (dishes, cups, cutlery and small appliances);
• Toiletries;
• Diapers;
• Powder milk;
• Baby food;
• Water;
• Milk;
• Canned food.

For other items needed such as mattresses, furniture and appliances (eg. televisions), the company Torrestir lends itself to work in this case to ensure the land transportation of such larger material. The Portuguese Air Force insurance the carriage of the collect goods, from the continent to Madeira archipelago, and Cáritas Funchal is responsible for the donations receipt and distribution.  You can leave your donation for this solidarity cause in Centro de Negócios / Centro de Incubação de Empresas Ideia Atlântico de Braga (Variante do Fojo) from 9.00 to 19.30 (from monday to friday).
